In 1996, she had nothing but a heart for people no one else saw.
In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

- The Founder
Ellen started this on a London street in 1996 and raising her family..
She was a nursery nurse, working in London, going to church, raising her family. Starting a charity had never crossed her mind. Then one night, during a period of fasting and prayer, God spoke to her to go and feed the homeless.
She went to her pastor. He told her to wait. But the calling came again, stronger this time, with what she describes as a burning heat in her belly. A church elder told her: ‘If it was for the church, God would have spoken to the pastor, not you. Go and do what God is telling you to do.’
She wasn’t a charity director. She wasn’t a social worker. She was just a woman who couldn’t walk past suffering and do nothing.
